Overview

The Groundsmaster® 4100-D wide area rotary mower features an all out-front mower deck for superior operator visibility and increased productivity. This Tier 4 compliant model offers a powerful and efficient Yanmar® turbo-diesel, 55 hp (41 kW) engine and SmartPower™ technology that coupled with the HybridDrive™ cutting deck system delivers optimal power to the cutting blades – efficiently cutting grass even in the toughest conditions. The Groundsmaster 4100-D includes a 10.3' (3.15 m) cutting width, full-time bi-directional four-wheel drive and a SmartCool™ auto-reversing fan that minimizes radiator screen clogging. Operators can enjoy mowing productivity with ROPS safety in the open-air 4100-D.

Major Mowing Capacity

• The Groundsmaster® 4100-D/4110-D delivers 55 hp (40.2 kW) and 125 ft.-lbs (169 Nm) torque at 2000 rpm. With so much power at your disposal, it's easy to digest even a large amount of wet, thick grass. With its unmatched engine torque and patented hydraulic motors that directly drive spindles on each deck, the 4100-D/4110-D delivers power where you need it most to cut tough grass. Plus, the shallow deck design forces quicker clipping dispersal, allowing the decks to accept more grass on a faster basis.

Nimble Maneuvering

• The impressive trimming capability means you can get around even the smallest object. The rare ability to mow a 0" uncut circle - without wheel brakes - allows you to easily mow striping patterns without leaving any grass uncut. Smooth turning is made possible by a tight 55.5" (141 cm) wheelbase and an inner, rear-steering turning angle of 53.5 degrees.

Full-time Bi-Directional 4WD

• Designed with a patented parallel hydraulic traction system it contains hydraulic flow between the front and rear wheels, assuring full-time 4-wheel drive in forward and reverse for mowing around objects on challenging hils with confidence. Weight transfer system or counter-balance that improves the cutting deck's ground following performance and the mower's hill climbing traction capability.

Ergonomics

• The Groundsmaster 4100's design optimizes operator comfort and ease of operation, making the task of mowing safer and faster. The position of key controls at the operator's fingertips, exceptional line of sight added to the isolated platform and 4-way adjustable air ride suspension seat create a more comfortable experience for the operator. The electronically controlled pedal stop allows the operator to change mowing speed on the fly. Combined with Smart Power, the operator can mow with their foot all the way down even while the ideal speed is changing automatically. This allows for a more comfortable and productive operator. The operator platform is isolation mounted to reduce noise and vibration. The 4-way adjustable seat and air ride suspension adjusts to the operator's desired firmness for maximum comfort. The seat and arm rest adjust easily with height and angle levers for an ergonomic fit for the operator.

Superb Trimming

• In addition to effectively mowing a 54" to 10.5' swath, the Groundsmaster® 4100-D/4110-D offers incredibly tight trimming capabilities. It allows you to trim how you want with one, two, or all three decks engaged, depending on the situation. The 4100-D/4110-D also features a unique, patented, parallel hydraulic traction system in forward and reverse that makes it much easier to trim around a tree or object without scuffing even while traversing a hill.

Visibility and Cut

• The all out-front deck gives the operator superior visibility and an excellent quality of cut. The mower deck's integrated design gives on-the-go flexibility of three cutting widths, 124" (315 cm), 89" (226 cm) and 54" (137 cm). The Groundsmaster 4100-D deck chambers pivot 17 degrees upward and 15 degrees downward assuring you of excellent ground following capabilities.

Smart Power™ Traction

• Smart Power Traction allows even an inexperienced operator to achieve a consistent cut, even on hills and thick patches. By automatically adjusting ground speed when encountering heavy cutting conditions, optimum blade speed is maintained.

Foldable ROPS

• The foldable Rollover Protection System (ROPS), comes standard for operator protection in the case of accidental rollovers and tip-overs. In situations where sufficient vertical clearance is not available, the ROPS can be temporarily unlocked and folded down.

InfoCenter™

• Get helpful maintenance reminders and instant notification of potential problems. During normal operation, the InfoCenter displays operating information, while constantly monitoring the internal health of the machine. Audible and visual alarms notify the operator of a potential problems, which helps technitians identify the source of the issue. With the electronically controlled foot pedal, set a maximum mowing speed for greater control of operator usage.

Reliable Powertrain

• The engine throttle-by-wire makes it easier to get to high or low idle and the electronic isochronous engine governor allows for a faster engine recovery time with no engine droop. The two speed drive motors improves hydraulic efficiency allowing the mower to operate at 4WD in mow and transport, improving fuel economy.
